In an urgent plea for assistance, Thai workers stationed in Israel are being restrained by their employers from returning to Thailand amidst the ongoing conflict.

Siam Sirimongkol, the governor of Nakhon Ratchasima province, informed that 14 workers had managed to return from Israel with the help of local authorities, reported INN.

These workers, hailing from Nakhon Ratchasima and Sisaket provinces, underwent health and psychological assessments before being assisted back to their hometowns.

Over 2,100 Thai workers are estimated to be still working in Israel. The volatile situation in the region has made it difficult to ascertain the exact number wishing to return home.

Uttuyo, a 40-year-old worker from Nakhon Ratchasima, disclosed that out of 27 workers in his camp, 25 wish to return, but are prevented by their employers.

He urges the Thai government to intervene, enabling the safe return of his compatriots, as many are desperate to reunite with their families amidst the distressing circumstances.

So tell me again that this isn't Human Trafficking.

The Thai and Israeli governments should be ashamed.

According to one report there are over 8000 Thai citizens in Israel ?

The published figure is 30,000.

Some 30,000 Thai farmhands were employed in Israel until the war with Hamas broke out, with around 5,000 of them working in communities close to the Gaza Strip, where 75% of the country’s vegetables are grown.
