antant Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 Deal all, Thank you for solving the visa mysteries. My work permit has just been renewed (for the 2nd time since Jan this year) and I discovered that each time the work permit is issued only for about 90 days, in accordance with the entrance visa (i.e. the stamp from immigration from each visa run). I have a one year Non-B visa. I am thinking of extending the visa based on marriage (i'm married to a thai) and I qualify for the application (checked that with forum members already). Does that means my work permit will be "extended" from 90 days to 180 days when I have the extension of stay? Best regards, Antant
lopburi3 Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 When you get your extension of stay it will be for about 9 months the first time (date starts from last entry into country) and your work permit should match that.
Maestro Posted July 16, 2007 Posted July 16, 2007 The work permit matches your permission to stay (admitted until <date>), not the expiration date of your visa. -- Maestro The single biggest problem in communication is the illusion that it has taken place. — George Bernard Shaw
