PM reiterates that 18, not 54 Thais being held by Hamas

Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin refuted a report today (Friday), which claimed that 54 Thai nationals are among the 220 hostages being held by Hamas in Gaza.

Fiscal Policy Office cuts 2023 economic growth projection to 2.7%

A Chinese woman went viral on the Chinese social media platform Weibo when she embarked on a journey of cycling 4,000 kilometres from China to Thailand to train with famous Muay Thai boxer Sombat “Buakaw” Banchamek.

Police intensify search for Sia Paeng accomplice after unsuccessful house raid

Police recently surrounded the house of an individual known as Jakkree Pannoi, or Big, but failed to locate him. His wife was detained and questioned to establish links to the Chaowalit Thongduang case. Jakkree’s wife denied any involvement.

A Thai woman allegedly killed her husband by repeatedly stabbing him in the face before leaving him to die in the bathroom of their condominium in Bangkok. The victim later succumbed to his injuries in hospital.

Lightning strike tragedy: Thai father killed in bed as family watches in horror

A family of four experienced a tragedy when a lightning strike hit their home in Wang Chao, Tak province yesterday. The 47 year old father, Jitpol, was struck by lightning while in bed, a fatal strike witnessed by his wife and two daughters.

Online gambling suspect’s ‘catch of the day’ net him for digital deceit

A 45 year old suspect under an arrest warrant from the Southern Bangkok Criminal Court, was apprehended by the police in Nakhon Ratchasima yesterday around 8.40pm. The charges relate to his involvement in an online gambling gang, deceiving the public by impersonating others and maliciously manipulating computer systems to show false information, potentially harming the public.
