Cross Border QR Payments Cambodia/Vietnam

When visiting Cambodia in June, I was able to scan and pay (Krungsri app) in most places, which displayed a QR code payable in Riel, the same way we scan and use Prompt pay here in Thailand.
However, currently, any QR I have saved, does not appear to work, they previously did, even when I was in Thailand.
Local Thai QR scan and pay is working fine.
Last week I was in Vietnam, both Bangkok bank and Krungsri apps were unsuccessful with any attempted scan, even though both banks promote the cross-border service.
Has anyone had recent firsthand successful experience in either country?
Please refrain from replying if your answer is theoretical, rather than actual.
