BANGKOK (NNT) - The Thai Prime Minister’s visit to San Francisco, California, marks a significant step in promoting Thailand’s Landbridge project to major Asia-Pacific investors. The visit, aligning with the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting, highlights Thailand’s commitment to trade, sustainability, innovation, equality, and inclusivity.

Srettha Thavisin, the Thai Prime Minister and Finance Minister, arrived in San Francisco, California, United States, for the 30th APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting from November 12th to 17th. The meeting’s theme is "Creating a Resilient and Sustainable Future for All," focusing on trade connectivity, sustainability, innovation, equality, and inclusiveness.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to meet with major U.S. private sector representatives, including executives from Tesla, HP, and ADI. He will also attend a seminar on the Landbridge project and business opportunities.

The Prime Minister expressed his intention to use this opportunity to invite investors to the Landbridge project, emphasizing that any progress in significant projects will be communicated to foreign investors to build confidence in investing in Thailand. He hopes these projects will inspire the younger generation to envision their future within Thailand rather than relocating abroad, thereby fostering national unity and social improvement.

Furthermore, the Prime Minister mentioned incentives for investors in Thailand’s Landbridge project, including tax measures, clean energy, industrial water management, aviation hub development, high-speed rail projects, and Laem Chabang Port.

Additionally, social cohesion is a vital aspect to attract foreign investment. The Prime Minister emphasized that despite differences in opinions, national unity is crucial for investors. Factors like Thailand’s world-class schools and hospitals are also significant in attracting foreign investment.

Huh?

It’s good he seems seriously involved in doing what’s needed for growth for the country

He does not have a lot to offer, compared to other players, but the push to exit China is a solid tailwind.

Best make hay while the sun shines.
