Several Chinese airlines have cancel  led  landing slots in Thailand due to low passenger demand., PM Thavasin responded by by saying the situation was likely caused by slower-than-anticipated economic recovery in China, as well that government's policy to encourage domestic travel. He defended the visa exemption policy saying Thailand's tourism industry would be in a worse shape without it. 

 

Eight people were apprehended yesterday  over their alleged involvement in the fatal shooting of a student and a schoolteacher at Klong toey in bangkok on 11th November. 


A group of men opened fire on students amid an argument. One shot missed it’s target hit a 45-year-old teacher who was queuing up to use an ATM machine..police have still to identify and trace the shooter. 


A 40-year-old woman who filed for divorce from her husband was shot dead inside her home in Songkhla last night.


The man also shot his two children, his youngest daughter, age nine, died on the spot, her 11 year old sister was critically injured and taken to hospital. The man then shot and killed himself. 


Police found a 9-mm gun at the house, with 4 shots fired and 4 bullets remaining in the magazine.

 

The Interior Minister Mr Anutin has signed an order banning the issue of firearms licenses for 12 months in an attempt to curb gun violence, the order does not affect officials such as police.  The ban will also make it illegal to carry a firearm and will come into effect following publication in the Royal Gazette.

Malaysia: One year after coming to power, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim’s approval rating has fallen to 50 per cent, due largely to Malaysians’ unhappiness over the state of the economy.


The survey by the Merdeka Center found only 31 per cent think the country is heading in the right direction, while 60 per cent believe it is going in the wrong direction due to economic issues,
