A seemingly pristine rental room transforms into a nightmarish pit of filth and creatures. What started as a routine check turned into a jaw-dropping discovery for landlord Namwan Panadda.

Namwan, a seasoned landlord with three decades of dormitory management under her belt, stumbled upon the grotesque underworld hidden behind a seemingly ordinary door. A room, faithfully occupied by a 42 year old woman for over ten years, emerged as a breeding ground for snakes, worms, and mice.

Despite the tenant being a successful civil servant, the room had been neglected for a staggering two years. Astonishingly, rent payments of 1,500 baht per month continued like clockwork. The landlord, shocked to the core, took to Facebook to share the ghastly spectacle and seek advice on vanquishing the nauseating stench that permeated the surroundings.

The room, neglected for so long, became a putrid spectacle as rubbish reached the ceiling, infested with vermin. Namwan and her husband, armed with determination and over 3,000 baht spent on garbage bags, filled a staggering 250 large bags, unearthing the horrors within,

routine eh ? like once every 2 years kind of thing.

Yet another residence looking like a rubbish dump, and yet again, as always, it is a woman who has left it that way. What is wrong with these people? I can only assume that it is caused by adults with the mind of a child who can't cope with the adult world.

12b per garbage bag is a bit exxy.

At this rate, what do you expect?

Even with the door closed nobody could smell that?

Unsurprisingly it also happens in your developed 1st first world as well. They even make tv shows about it.

It's almost always a mental health related issue.

I can't imagine the state of the room if she had been unsuccessful.

The last one I recall posted here, was a male postman. :coffee1:

“Four months ago, the neighbouring tenant reported snakes and mice emerging from the room.

In a shocking twist, the absent tenant contacted Namwan, challenging the intrusion and claiming the room held only valuable items.

Seen and had to clean up worse numerous times in America and Thailand. You would be shocked how many humans love living in mountains of old garbage and buckets of crap and other toxic wastes. Currently cleaning another major mess and broken home left by lovely step daughter. As high as 100,000 baht to clean up the mess and damage done. PIGS! GROSS!

the owner received no rent for 2 years before he had look?

more holes in that story than Swiss cheeses

It was. I should have said almost always. But he was the only male I've read about who does this.

I don't agree with you fully, yes it does happen sometimes but in those cases the landlord does not use an agent who checks on a regular basis. I lived for rent a long time after I returned from LOS, house inspection every 3 months with pictures being taken.

She was experimenting in indoor composting.

Namwan, a seasoned landlord with three decades of dormitory management under her belt... not very well seasoned... I'm a landlord and I check on my rental monthly.
