On November 29th, 2023, Thai investigation officers launched a search operation at a large illegal gambling den in a hotel in the Ngamwongwan area, Nonthaburi, according to the criminal court warrant.

 

According to a report by the Thai investigation police, on the ninth floor of the hotel, the gambling den was reportedly well-known among regular players both Thai and foreigners. There were 6 baccarat tables, 6 slot machines, casino chips of more than 10 million baht, 3.5 million baht in cash, and other related gambling objects found.

 

Each table had a monitor and a casino staff member providing gambling services to customers, the majority of customers were Chinese businessmen, said the police.

I guess the local plod didn't know anything about this operation?

They visited the hotel, for some other reason? last week and none of this was there..yeah

It’s hard to compete in that market because the Police already has that handled TIT

Thought the government wanted Chinese people here to spend money, now they arrest them?

Illegal gambling had never been closed down because of the police. It just gets moved to another building.
