On the internet I watch YouTube. Sometimes interviews with interesting people, sometimes videos from car mechanics or Japanese craftsmen, etc.

I also play with electronics and currently with home automation. I get bored very seldom.

I watched this one last night:

Japanese porn, or JAV for short. Now that we can get uncensored JAV, it has become an obsession with me.

I have a huge (>3TB) porn collected over many years, both pics and movies. I'm still fond of late 80's and 90's French and Italian movies, but the JAV takes priority and I expand my JAV collection by couple of MB/GB almost every day....

Good thing is, keeps me off the streets and out of trouble.

Only 3TB?

Sasa Handa was my favorite many years ago.

Some have mentioned Porn, I have never understood the attraction etc as its predictable , repetitive, you know literally what's going to happen and how it ends.

You could say the same about dating girls. Same procedure, different girl, repeat. But somehow, it's still fun for most of us.

I've been thinking about picking up an air fryer. Can you make any recommendations, or tips on what to look out for? Thanks!

If you got a convection oven already, that gets hot & has fans, you might want to hold off on buying.   Don't regret buying it, but not seeing an advantage yet.   Only tried a few things;

... bread OK, but small loaf

... does not do salmon well

... reheated spicy wings quite nicely

... did a very nice crispy pork 👍

... only had it couple days

I bought one from Central Online 990 baht, and quite nice (4.5L), electronic, 200°C top temp.  Same model/price on LAZ & Shopee.

Really isn't much I can't do in our larger convection oven w/powerful fans (actually labeled 'air fryer' also) or my cast iron pan set.

New AF is a bit redundant for us (retired toaster over, for counter space).  Great for condo living, and saving electric, since compact vs the 56L oven.   Got solar, so no benefit for us.

'Pro Home Cooks" on YT has a few good vids for using AF.  Where I got the crispy pork idea.

I create videos by editing downloaded videos from Youtube, discarding the dross. Play solitaire and word puzzles, pa som sip with my Thai GF. Watch TV series, currently on Boardwalk Empire.

I don't have a Facebook, Instagram or TikTok account. Those organizations periodically sell personal data to scammers.

The way many Thai girls dress, it's basically free viewing porn. Too old to think about following up.

If you can't do salmon well in an air fryer, you are not doing it right.

Frozen salmon, thaw in the warmer part of the refrigerator overnight. I get mine from Makro. Bone in, which helps hold everything together.

Coat fryer grille with olive oil spray.

4 minutes on each side. Simple.

I looked at 3 recipes, and was skeptical, as none turned them.  Also 7 minutes and didn't get a crust, so think I need to jack up the temp to 200C, but, internal temp was already 150F+

Think I'll stick with the cast iron for salmon, nice crust and a lot faster.  8 minutes is way too long for me.  Pan is like 2 minutes a side.

So the emoji poster doesn't get the joke!

It is a continuation of the joke from my first comment

I did get your original post. Be careful though. The original word that you intended can also be very offensive.

かわいい

Have to admit, it actually spilled over. There is also almost 2TB on another drive, just JAV.

This is one of my current favs, Anju Akane, Have to say, looks much better on the videos.

Each to his own, to me a crust is spoiling the fish. A bit like steak with charcoal.

How anyone can cook protein without turning is beyond my comprehension.

I agree, an air fryer is a boon in condo life, being so compact.

I would prefer her with 5kg less. But sometimes we have to compromise. ;)

Yes. I downloaded OpenShot, a free video editor, and taught myself how to use it. I make collections of highlights for my own pleasure, files are too large to upload here. It's a useful mental exercise.

Rather off topic Mr L.

Sorry no it isn't. This started off as hobbies, but then transformed to Air Fryers.

Depends what one considers older of course but after a decade here I recently started to download and collect tons of things like books, movies, music, games, software, but also information about everything; medical, how to survive, engineering, whatever else. Just in case we do get this black out Klaus Schwab mentioned.

I even have a copy of this platform's software lol, we could setup a local intranet by then to continue.

Back to Air Fryers. I watched a Channel 5 documentary  with Alexis Conran who was comparing three Air Fryers, one was 60 quid, one 150, and the Ninja @ 200. Had three noobies using them. First was chips from real potatoes. They each only finished up, after 20 odd minutes, with one portion each, the cheapest AF getting best taste results. Then a 'stir fry with veg, prawns sauce and noodles'. The one portion each finished up with took longer than doing in a wok on the gas. Finally a Victoria Sponge each one producing two one-portion cakes.

Why they didn't use the same batter for all the cakes so that it was the actual AF was the only difference I don't know. One man said that he cooked a full Xmas dinner in one. Surely he would have to keep the cooked items warm as he cooked the other stuff.

My Conclusion on AFs. OK if you have very limited space, eat one-pot meals, and have money to spare.

Anyone use one of those halogen/ glass bowl type cookers?

When I started over 5-6 years ago, with a sort of bankrupt thing, I rented a 4K room and just bought the camping stove + electric red pan from tesco lotus. Can virtually make any food with these 2 things aside from real coffee on a italian maker (with the gas stove) and of course a rice cooker. Tesco also used to do 20-30% off meat and veggies after 8PM.
