Doh....doggonit .

They were never lost. His connecting flight was cancelled and he wanted to visit his dogs while they were in transit.

 

No airline or airport allows that.

 

So he threw a temper tantrum until the police got involved and made the airline take the dogs out of transit for him. 

 

Airlines do lose, injure and even kill dogs sometimes.  But this guy was just an entitled brat.
