Only four areas of Bangkok are affected by high levels of PM2.5 dust today, as temperatures across the country, including the capital, are forecast to plummet by 2-8 degrees celsius tomorrow.

The Pollution Control Department reported  that the levels of PM2.5 in and around Bangkok at 7am were between 19.8-49.6μg (microns), against the threshold of 37.5μg.

The areas in Bangkok with high levels of PM2.5 today are:

  • Krung Kasem Road in Pom Prap district, 37.6μg
  • Lat Phrao Soi 95 in Wang Thong Lang district, 38.4μg
  • Rodfai Thonburi 5 housing estate in Bangkok Noi district,  37.8μg
  • Ma Charoen Phet Kasem 81 Road in Nong Khaem district,  41.8μg

sorry fellas i couldn't resist having a BLT for dinner.

Regardless of how affordable and fun Bangkok is, with global warming and excessive pollution, Bangkok is becoming a much less desirable place to visit let alone live….
