Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin has announced plans to develop seamless tourism between Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, following a meeting with leaders of the three countries, held on the sidelines of a summit in Tokyo marking 50 years of Japan-ASEAN cooperation.

In his discussion with Vietnam President Vo Van Thuong, the two leaders agreed to resume Cabinet meetings, with Vietnam proposing to host the first meeting in May next year. One key topic will be rice pricing strategies to increase income for farmers. Võ suggested collaborative efforts to promote seamless tourism among Thailand, Vietnam, Laos, and Cambodia, allowing tourists to travel between these countries without needing separate visas.

Srettha also met with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, discussing the establishment of a Thai consulate in Siem Reap to support the growing number of tourists visiting the temple complex of Angkor Wat.
