To strengthen its overseas output capacity to better cope with rising demand for its automobiles and motorcycles, Honda will also build new production facilities in Thailand, Vietnam and Argentina.

It will spend about 23 billion yen to build its second automobile plant in Thailand, increasing its annual output capacity in the country to 240,000 units from the current 120,000 units.

The second plant, to be located adjacent to the existing plant in Ayutthaya Province, is expected to begin mass production in the latter half of 2008.
