Best CHEAPER MP3 Player Available on Lazada for Thai Language Practice while Walking (running, etc.)

Recommended Posts

Are there any audio players which work well for Thai Language learning while exercising?

Must be available on Lazada.

Must be able to easily see and change audio tracks.

Must have socket for headphones, and have enough power to drive a set of Audio Technica  headphones.

Must have rechargeable battery.

Anybody know?

The only way is to keep on keeping on..... (I began in 2013)

Buy a cheap old used phone (small one) - they have audio player app inbuilt and plenty power.

Delete all apps that you dont need - turn off most settings - dont connect a SIM - download MP3 files to it using laptop/usb.

MP3 players are expensive these days - everyone uses their phones.

Good Advice.

Actually, I already have a Samsung S3 phone that is old, 2013.

I used it no more than about a year before I got a new phone.

But, the PROBLEM is that the new apps do not work very well on the S3, due to forced obsolescence (new apps are not designed for the older OS, for example.

Otherwise, the S3 still has really good audio, and a super good screen, too!

Maybe there is a better audio app that might work faster on the S3.

I could investigate further.

But then, I thought that just getting a cheap MP3 player might be an even better solution.

My budget is quite low because I will listen to audio ONLY for spoken Thai recordings and NOT for music....I think....

AND....I CANNOT BELIEVE, as you say, just how EXPENSIVE the MP3 players are, these days!

lIKE.... 10,000 Baht for a Sony Walkman!!!!!  That is a CRAZY price, IMHO...

I could hook you up with a portable 8 track player.

You are so creative.

Must be the pot talking...

But still, good advice for a better exercise workout...

The 8-Track players of old were quite heavy...

So then...if I were to use the Samsung S3, as a ZERO Cost solution...then....

Any good Audio Player apps that might work best on such an old Operating System?

I am toying with the idea of installing Linux on the S3, just get free of the forced obsolescence of commercial software..

But, I have never tried using Linux on a phone....and...I don't want to screw up the S3, which might happen. I  used to use Linux on my desktops, and still do.

But, I don't want to root the phone....

I don't like working with mobile devices, have had zero experience.

(Easiest solution is to just find a cheap MP3 player....I think.)

Not enough cpu for general purpose linux, even cmd line only.

And you would hate the loss of graphic screen interface.

Maybe someone has compiled a distro for the S3 ?

Thanks for the advice.

I have never attempted Linux on a phone.

So...I will not again even consider it for an S3....

Sorry I am a bit confused but didn't you move to Japan? Why are you trying to learn Thai when you left Thailand for the greener pastures of Japan?

Thai script is, in my opinion, one of the most beautiful written languages in the world.

This is why.

I love beauty, as you can see.....

Seems a bit strange to me but each to their own. I personally can't tell the difference in the different Thai letters for S when it is spoken so listening would not work for me.

Have you thought about learning Georgian I find its script pretty.

Does Lazada ship to Japan?

Obviously it is strange to you, if you can't read it.

Speaking of strange....

Strange...and...

Beautiful...

Just like Thai script.

I hope you enjoy walking down the streets of Japan while watching the pretty Thai script dance through your head while listening to it spoken. S=สษศ , look at all the pretty Ss.

You could just say you changed you mind about moving to Japan.

Is this the best retort you can manage at such short notice?

Take another FIVE minutes, and try again, why don't you?

Give it your best shot, and see if you can generate a half-way lucid comment.....

Or, probably...NOT.

Question:  Are you sitting in some bar in Pattaya at the moment?  Because, you certainly sound like it.
