In a twist of events involving two buffaloes obstructing a road, tensions were diffused by dedicated police officers. The incident unfolded in the Ramin Kamhaeng 118, Intersection 35 alley in Bang Chan.

On January 2, 2024, at 2:00 AM, officers, led by Lt. Col. Pissit Mumni, head of the traffic department in Bang Chan, successfully cleared the roadblock caused by two buffaloes, reported Siam Rath.

Initially reported through a Facebook post by a local resident praising the Thai police's capabilities, the buffaloes were found obstructing the road, making it impassable for vehicles. Lt. Col. Pissit Mumni, with badge number 6603, approached the scene, engaging with the buffaloes. A video posted online captured the officer walking towards the buffaloes, gesturing and bowing until the animals stood up and walked away.

News reporters, meeting with Lt. Col. Pissit Mumni, shared details of the incident. The buffaloes were initially intimidating, refusing to yield to passing vehicles. Lt. Col. Pissit attempted to scare them away by driving closer, but the buffaloes remained unresponsive. Eventually, resorting to a gesture of respect, Lt. Col. Pissit bowed and waved, prompting the buffaloes to walk away peacefully.

Despite the successful resolution, the owners or caretakers of the buffaloes have yet to be identified. News teams continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the unusual roadblock caused by the two wandering buffaloes.

Why is it that in Thailand it seems like they're always blaming buffaloes? What have buffalos done to them lately that they're the recipient of so much blame?

Buffalo fake sickness imposing high-cost veterinarian bills on lovelorn farangs.

2 buffalo's are not a road block.

More of a BBQ waiting to fire up

They don't look sick to me, surely my tilak wouldn't lie to me she lub and miss me to mut 😭 but the house I paid for still looks OK :giggle:

Unlike Western road blocking protesting twits, the Thai vegan protester does not glue themselves to the tarmac.

WTF is a Lt.Col. doing chasing buffalo? Must be desperate to grab some press. They must have some farm boys in the lower ranks that could handle that.
