A disabled woman in Pattaya fell victim to a heartless thief who stole her electric handcycle on December 31st, 2023.

Ms. Alisa Umsin, a 20-year-old Thai woman with impaired legs, reported the theft to Pattaya police after discovering her electric handcycle, a hybrid of a bicycle and a wheelchair designed for people with lower body mobility limitations, went missing near the Taksin Maharaj shrine, located close to Soi 6. The estimated value of the stolen equipment was 28,000 baht, a significant sum for Ms. Alisa who relies on it for mobility.

According to the victim, she parked the handcycle near the shrine while setting up a water-selling booth for the New Year’s countdown festival. Upon returning from her sales, she found the handcycle gone, forcing her to manually push her wheelchair home for several kilometers before reporting the theft to the Pattaya Police Station on January 1st, 2024.

It's a shxtty world we live in. My home town had a disabled guy, in a wheelchair, always a feature on a corner selling the evening paper and other bits and bobs. He had to give it up after a few muggings.

Rot in hell thieves.

They will be on the job as soon as they've finished drawing their overtime pay for reducing the daily road deaths to zero.

This is a job for the Soi 9 boys.

Within 1 hour all they go to do is position themselves outside and start writing tickets for no helmets. at the cross walk push the button that should get plenty to help pay for a new one. Thst would be a good start in helping their image😁
