webfact Posted January 26 Share Posted January 26 Phatthalung, Southern Thailand–Phatthalung has suffered its worst flooding in 43 years, said local residents. After heavy rain for many hours on Thursday (January 25th), flash floods from the Banthat mountain range hit Phatthalung. Seven villages and many animal farms have been flooded. More than 500 families are suffering from the effects of the flood especially in the Kong Hra, Sri Nakharin, and Tamod districts. Water levels were up to four meters high in the Lamsin sub-district, Sri Nakharin where local roads were blocked by the floods.
