The Thai wife of French national Kevin Dimino submitted a formal appeal on 11 September against his deportation order, after he was detained on an allegation that he posed a threat to national security.

Jindarat, was accompanied by Akkarawut Kraisrisombat, also known as Tae Acheeva, leader of the Thai Mai Thon (Thais Won't Stand for It) group. The appeal concerns action taken by Prime Minister and Interior Minister Anutin Charnvirakul.

Appeal deadline and detention concerns

Akkarawut said he supports the existence of deportation laws but wants procedures to be clear, fair and realistic.

He said Dimino was allegedly facing deportation over a confrontation with some Israelis and a traffic violation, despite being held on the national-security allegation.

The deportation order specifies that an appeal must be lodged within seven days. Akkarawut questioned how Dimino, while in custody, could gather witnesses and evidence needed to challenge the decision.

He argued that Dimino should be released from detention to collect evidence, demonstrate his innocence and complete the appeal process.

Wife says she fears for her safety

Jindarat, who owns a zoo, spoke tearfully after meeting Interior Ministry officials. She said she was in deep distress and had submitted evidence intended to clarify the circumstances.

"Today, we have presented all the evidence to clarify the situation, demonstrating that Kevin's actions were entirely aimed at protecting his wife from threats and harassment by a group of Israeli individuals," she said. "He was simply defending his wife; why must he face such treatment?"

She alleged that she had received threatening messages during the previous two to three days, including threats to come to Koh Samui and rape and kill Dimino.

Jindarat asked whether the government or other relevant agencies could guarantee her safety and ensure the threats would end if her husband were deported. If authorities could provide that assurance, she said she might accept the outcome, so she could return to running her business and caring for the zoo.

She said she currently had too little time even to look after the animals because she was occupied with her husband's paperwork.

If her safety could not be guaranteed, Jindarat said she was prepared to move to another country. She said she wanted the government to clarify its intended course of action rather than keep Dimino detained without concrete answers.

Officials offer no clarity, wife says

Jindarat said her discussions with Interior Ministry officials had produced no clear explanation. The matter was being passed between officials, she said, with staff stating only that the directive had come from the Prime Minister.

All this - threats of rape and murder - directed at the guy's wife. Fire bombing of his mother's house in France. Over what? He's no angel this guy. But in this case he's just a guy who doesn't like Israelis and isn't afraid to say so. There is Zero chance unless there is a very large contribution and ordering him to disappear somewhere in Thailand until this fades from memory of Frenchie staying.

The precedence it would set when Anutin just enacted the deportation changes make this a Zero possibility option for Frenchie.

Maybe if you had the manners, respect and ability to control your emotions that a 10 year old Thai child has you would still be living happily in Thailand.

Why are you defending this thug? He assaulted some Turkish guy and threatened him with a knife. That alone should be enough to get him put in jail and then deported. He, a foreigner, was also using his zoo as a place for political gatherings and agitation. That is in addition to all the other problems, threats, and harassment he engaged in.

Yes I get that. And, as of yesterday, I was all for deporting him based upon what you say. But now we hear his wife is being threatened with rape and murder - why? Because she's his wife? And remember the garage at his mother's place in France was fire bombed. So yes this guy should go - Thailand is better off without him. But I'm now worried for his wife - also as a matter of principle he's not being deported for his other thugishness (which I thought he was) but just for arguing with some Israelis and then trying to protect his wife from others that piled in.

You feel bad for who? Why. Thai people dont un d erstand anything about whos at fault. Thai IOs treat a dad with his kids the same as they would some thug with tattoos on his face. There seem to be a lot of conflicting storylines regarding the incidents that took place at the zoo. Though the zoo owner does seem like a troublemaker it seems like his problems really started when the Palestinian issue came up and he acted against an Israeli national.

Some Israelis seem to behave as if they're above the law and perhaps that might be connected to the murders that many committed while in the IDF, with their own government either defending or encouraging it.

The order alleges that Dimino had harassed and verbally abused the owner and teachers of a language school in the area.

He is also alleged to have assaulted a foreign national, injuring the person’s leg and threatening the person with a knife.

He allegedly behaved abusively, shouting and using vulgar language in front of private premises.

According to the order, Dimino assaulted a foreign tourist and threw a sign at the person, while using offensive language towards the tourist’s family.

Another allegation involved posts inviting people who oppose or dislike nationals of certain countries to gather at his zoo for a symbolic political or religious demonstration.

His posts appeared intended to create divisions along racial, religious and political lines.

Another incident cited in the order was his removal from a domestic passenger aircraft by airline staff after police were called following his alleged threats against fellow passengers.

After being notified of the order, Dimino was taken into custody pending the process of repatriation to France.

The order, signed by Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul in his capacity as interior minister on Sept 7, makes Dimino the second foreign national to be ordered deported from Thailand in connection with the dispute.

The ministry previously ordered Israeli national Yaacov Ohayon to leave the country on Sept 4. The two men are parties to a dispute on Samui Island.

Or maybe if he hadn't picked on an Israeli none of this might have happened. And God forbid that somebody actually hang up a Palestinian flag. Sounds like some pressure from the Israeli Ministries to me. So this may just be a total capitulation on the part of Anutin.

Does anybody know what's really going on down there? Apart from the official narrative?

I was thinking over the last few days, I have lived here for 26 years and I did live in Bangkok for a few years in downtown Suhkumvit, traveled around Thailand a bit, I used to do all the nightclubs, Hardrock and place like that, We never had all this trouble them days, I've walked along Sukhumvit at all times of the night, never a problem,

I remember walking home from that nightclub in the Sheraton hotel one night, about half way thinking oh <deleted> where's my phone, I walked back and sure enough someone had handed it in,

Thinking back we never had all these problems that we are getting now, the other night here in Phuket somebody refusing to pay a 40 Baht fare to the motor bike taxi, FFS what's going on?

I beginning to agree with the deporting of these clowns and any other knob head kicking off with themselves, and it's not just Israelis but Arabs as well,

A couple of days ago my daughter and her family got delayed leaving Phuket airport, some clown on the plane giving the crew a load of grief they called the police and dragged him off so the plane could leave, I didn't see that make the news, I said to my daughter she could have had an exclusive story there,

A car caught fire near the mothers house , there is no evidence that the car fire and events in Thailand are connected , as was stated in the other thread

Thailand is becoming like "Hotel California" if you stay too long.
