OTA

Good afternoon.
How is it possible that a property listed on one of the most famous and used OTAs is on the Google map in a position totally different from the real location? The name is also almost similar, but not similar to the original.
Thank you

TiT - This is Thailand!

Believe nothing you see online until you are in the land office with the actual documentation in front of you!

Even then - Caveat-emptor!

I would even be happy to learn what OTA refers to.

Why would one need a location of an online agency?

OP is talking about the location of a property he saw on the OTA being incorrect on Google maps (I think).

If by OTA you refer to an Online Travel Agent then they aren't responsible for Google maps.  Anyone can add a place to Google maps and it doesn't have to be checked to a great degree so there's lots of errors.

If you name the place you may get more informed responses.

But years ago, for have a location confirmation for let the property listed on the OTA, they send a letter with a confirmation code at the address I gave of my property.

Hotels knowingly cheat. Many hotel close to airports list Google Map location VERY CLOSE to get suckers to book and then find out they are miles away.

Booking agents allow this.

Not once in my many years of travelling have I experienced this.
