Police Launch Raid on Factory Suspected of Illegally Producing Kratom-Laced Soda Beverages

Nonthaburi—On February 14th, 2024, Thai authorities, including officials from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and other relevant agencies, initiated a search operation, targeting a factory suspected of illegally manufacturing over 30,000 bottles of soda beverages containing kratom in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi.

According to police reports, the factory in Pak Kret was allegedly involved in the illicit sale of soda beverages containing kratom under an unrevealed brand in the Bangkok area. The police launched an investigation into the matter and sought a search warrant from the Nonthaburi Provincial Court.

 

Upon arriving at the factory, police officers and FDA officials encountered two individuals believed to be connected with the illegal production of soda beverages containing kratom.

 

The suspects, identified as Mr. Suthichai, a 39-year-old company manager, and Mr. Komen, a 46-year-old production supervisor, were present during the search operation.

Kathom is not illegal to have or use, illegal to sell. Just having a cup now. Acts on the brain receptors like opium or morphine. Lessens some pain, pee less in the night and helps with my smokers cough, it quells it. Used for a hundred years illegally, try some you may like it.
