A two-day ordeal of domestic abuse in Nonthaburi ended with police intervention after a 13 year old boy mistakenly dialled the emergency number while seeking medical help for his mother. The woman, a landlady, was found locked in a room and severely beaten by her younger, drug-addicted partner who was suspected of infidelity.

 

In the quiet soi of Samakkhi 49, Nonthaburi province, a harrowing incident of domestic violence unfolded, leading to a much-needed police rescue.

 

Yesterday at 7.30pm, officers from Rattanathibet Police Station were alerted to a case of a woman being physically assaulted and confined for two days. Rushing to the scene, they discovered the 49 year old landlady in a physically battered state, her face swollen from the violent attack.

The woman, whose full name is withheld for privacy, revealed that her boyfriend, identified only as A, was the perpetrator. He had become increasingly paranoid while under the influence of drugs, convinced that she was secretly communicating with another man. This led to violent confinement in her rental room over two days.

Time to put some distance between you and the drug user... stick around and it won't be a happy ending.

i think Singapore has the right idea ....  no drugs,  low crime and as such they don't have all the problems that drugs bring.

Although there is an overall improvement in Singapore’s drug situation, there is still a record-high number of drug abusers. Individuals, who are aged between 20 and 29, continue to form the largest group of drug abusers in Singapore."

yes but I don't think it's as high as you make out ...  you won't see any nutters laying around streets in Singapore.  You won't see anyone high as a kite walking around Singapore. You won't hear of any gold shop robberies because he needed to buy drugs ...  and so on.

Singapore has strict laws and policies when it's comes to drug use and possession.

They live by the rule that ...  if you use drugs don't come to Singapore.    They have the correct response and society's thinking on drug use imo.       anyway, each to his own.

No <deleted>, no one said it hasn't got harsh drug laws, but some people on here are making the asinine claim that Singapore is or has eradicated drug use cos of these harsh laws, the data says different. But I guess their feels are more important.

Personally don't do any drugs, I am just not dumb enough to think criminalizing drug use stops it.
