The Health Service Support Department is in consultation with the Office of Insurance Commission and insurance companies to include surrogacy in the health insurance scheme , as the birth rate is falling and Thailand becomes an aging society.

The department’s director-general, Dr Sura Wisedsak, said that there are now 114 hospitals and clinics in Thailand offering assisted reproduction technology (ART) to couples who have difficulty conceiving or carrying a pregnancy to full term.

The success of ART is about 46%, which is regarded as high, he said, adding that safety for the mothers is also a matter of concern.

Sounds like Thailand are entering a "factory human farming" stage....

Maybe allow the stateless ethnic groups embedded within Thailand to become officially Thai would help.

Pay a livable wage to the lower/middle classes they will breed.

anything but giving residency status (not nationality) to farang living and working here and having gf/wife/kids ... surrogacy... lol ... sure thais will find a loophole to do it for profits and sell the baby to whomever, before the buyer paid for those costs (japanese with 10+ kids a few years ago via surrogacy)

there are enough people, idiots, homeless, poor, uneducated, ...

why not invest in education for the nation...
