The Patong Police told the Phuket Express that on Tuesday (March 5th) they arrested MR. ION, 28, Romanian national at a parking area of an undisclosed hotel on the Phra Baramee Road in Patong. The arrest came after the police were notified by concerned citizens that a foreigner was selling tour packages at the hotel. Police found that the Romanian was recommending foreign tourists tour packages. Tourists also allegedly were seen buying a tour package and paying the Romanian man. Most of the ones I know in Phuket are Thai companies, some farangs, they don't care who sells the trips for them and some pay good commissions he could make a few quid.
