Help With Documents Required

Hi Guys wonder if you can help me, I have searched through hundreds of pages and the Thai Consulate website, but cannot get things straight in my mind.

I am looking to come and live in Pattaya in the next few months (December at the latest) with my wife.

I am 46 years old, British Subject, but lived in Spain for 22 years.

My wife is 40 years old, British Subject who has lived in Spain for 10 years.

I will want to work within a few months in my own business, my background is publishing and graphic design and I will want to work in this field. I will want to create a Thai company and employ up to five locals.

I obviously want to live within the kingdom on a yearly basis.

Can anyone tell me exactly what Visa I need to apply for?

What other documentation will I be required to supply?

Would it be better to return to the UK to apply for the visa or can I do it in Spain?

Hope someone can help, if I have been really thick I apologise now.
