Ban Laem border run possible? Return with visa Exempt stamp

Recommended Posts

Is the following border run at Ban Laem border at Cambodia possible and get 30 days Visa Exempt entry stamp on return?

- Have 1 year extension Non O, Marriage, expires.

- Travel to Ban Laem the last days of extension on stay. Extension will then be cancelled due to no valid re-entry permit now.

- Return to Thailand the same day on Visa Exempt and get 30 days.

- Travel on my own. No agent company.

- Is onward ticket out of Thailand required?

Is that possible?
Any issues to be aware of?

My nationality is among the visa free entry schemes.

Thanks in advance.

Will go without agent van. You also did without agent?

No you have experience with an existing 1 year NON O extension that expires same time?
No problems?

I'm on ongoing extensions so no I have never done border run you outline.

You won't have an issue.

Your OP is correct in that if you exit without reentry permit your current permission of stay is done and dusted.

Turn around and reenter visa exempt.

Bit hard to guess your plan (which is your business)

Assume that you are aware of 60 day extension to visit wife.

What's the plan after visa exempt entry?

I know it is an alternative way I will use. A combination of different circumstances.

60 days extension - just to be clear.
I'm aware that I can extend visa Exempt, tourist visa and Non O visa with 60 days at each entry.

Is it possible to extend a 1 year extension with further 60 days at local immigration office?

Next will be to get a new Non O visa or convert visa exempt to Non O visa and the to 1 year extension.

Yes

So you can't currently meet the 400k requirement for annual extension.

Enough from me. Seems you are aware of your options.

Purpose of thread?

Purpose is to get cleared about possiblities for border run at Laem Ban border crossing at the schedule I have.

Also since I have not found any information from official sources for the 60 days extension and not considered that before.

Thanks for helping out with that.
