Can I Get A Multiple O Visa?

Hi Guys,

Need help here, I'm wondering where can I get a multiple one year O visa? I'm married to a Thai & the marriage was registered in Sin. They only issued 3 months single entry O visa & told me I need to have at least Bht400k in any currency, any bank for a one year multiple O visa.

Don't really have much in the bank though, around Bht30k. Still waiting for my endowment policy to mature in Jan 2008..

Any assistance of any kind is appreciated as my visa is expiring in Aug 07.

Hi, you may want to repost this in the visa section to get a better response. If you are living in Thailand, you could apply for an extension of stay that would allow you to stay one year. You would have to show evidence of 40,000 Baht combined (you and spouse)monthly income. If you leave the country, you would just need to get a re-entry permit.

KL has issued multi entry without the 400k required and Penang might (but will want some account paperwork) but both may be unlikely if you are of working age. You should have no problem obtaining new single entry non immigrant O visas from Vientiane/Malaysia or Singapore until you can meet the 400k requirement. Of course if you can meet the 40k family income the extension of stay from Immigration would be your best way.
