Criminal record/police clearance in Thailand

I have to make a VISA in another country, they asked me to show my criminal history.

I am in Thailand since 1 year, can I ask the local police for such document?

Is this type of service available here? They told me it should be issues by the country I reside.

I think they mean clearance for the country you have citizenship in.

When I needed one to obtain residence in Albania, the Albanian govt wanted a police clearance check from the country matching the nationality of the passport.

I had need of one a few back, forget for what reason. No big deal, just went where  the RTP site  said to go with the usual copies of passport, etc., and filled out a form, had a photo taken there and wait for I think about two weeks.

Sorry not more specific, but my forgettery is better than memory these days.

Nope. Not everyone is a criminal in Albania and it was for work. One needs a residence permit and a work permit to be able to work there.
