Younger Brother of Thanathorn Sentenced to Six Months in Prison for Bribery

Today, a corrupt property mogul has been sentenced to half a year in jail. Sakulthorn Juangroongruangkit, who is the CEO of Real Estate Development Company Ltd. and younger brother to Thanathorn, the leader of the Progressive Movement, was found guilty of bribery. The charges against Sakulthorn include a 20-million-baht bribe he paid to an official from the Crown Property Bureau and another man. The bribe's purpose was to get permission for his firm to rent a 1.02-hectare piece of land in Bangkok's Chidlom area without requiring an open bid process.

Officials in Phuket have uncovered 26 illegal jet skis following multiple complaints from local residents and hoteliers in the northern part of the island. The complaints mentioned jet skis operating outside of their allowed areas in Ao Por Bay, Naka Island, Koh Rang, and Yamu Bay.
