Personal Income Tax Return

Featured Replies

Next year, when I submit a Personal Income Tax Return, must I include my UK Armed Forces Pension (which is not subject to double taxation) as income?  Presumably, I need only include my other pensions even though they have been subject to Tax by HMRC.

If I disregard my UK Armed Forces Pension from the amount I transfer to Thailand, I am left with a minus sum for Tax purposes after including all my allowances. I am over 65 and married. Do I need to submit a Tax Return?

You can disregard your services pension which is excluded under the DTA.

Technically, even though your assessable income exceeds the threshold, you should file a return, even though there is not tax to pay. The fine however for doing that is only 2k bhat which doesn't seem to be imposed on many people, if any at all.
