The Upcoming Presidential Debate

Joe has been in literal hiding for ten days. Either at his beach house or at Camp David. Some intense prepping, probably adjusting his sleep/wake schedule so that he can be alert at night, etc.  All he has to do is get through 90 minutes. He managed it at the SOTU Address, so there is no reason to think he won't be uber rested and uber prepped tomorrow.

Trump has still been campaigning. Never was one for over preparation, will probably rely on his ability to ad lib for the debate.

CNN gave Biden the questions. Practising his answers.

Sober up and stop making excuses. Inflation typically lags for 12 to 16 months not 3 years. You <removed> people have endless lies and excuses. Really pathetic.

Here he goes with the drinking references   projection

Who was president on January 1 2021?

Gasoline Prices Rise Sharply

The price index for gasoline and other motor fuel rose 7.4 percent in January after rising 5.2 percent in December. The gasoline and other motor fuels price index alone contributed about 1.5 annualized percentage points to January’s headline inflation rate. Prices for the other major energy components were mixed for the month. The price index for fuel oil rose 5.4 percent, while the price indexes for electricity and natural gas fell 0.2 percent and 0.4 percent, respectively. The price index for energy goods and services as a whole rose 3.5 percent, compared with a 2.7 percent increase in December.

Inflation - not Biden

Border - not Biden

Ukraine mess - not Biden

Israel - not Biden

Debt levels - not Biden

2.4m full time job losses in 12 months - not Biden

Is Biden reslonsible for anything?

Note that full time employment is still quite high, the economy is robust, and the stock market is way higher than when Trump was in charge.

It has happened before. But it might not matter. Onlly perhaps if there is part of the debate where the two candidated can question each other directly. That would be fun.

Yes they should both ask questions. Moderators suck. 12 questions each. The other side doesnt know the questions. Would be fun. 2 minutes to answer. Buzzer sound after 2 minutes. After each question they have to walk 100m around a circle. If they fall over they lose 1 question.

So you admit to knowing nothing about inflation. Point taken.

Whether it's Biden or ' stuff happens' the economy has surged while inflation is getting better. Hard to achieve that. So what happens if Trump puts a 10 per cent tarriff on all imports as he proposes. What if he blunts the independence of the Federal Reserve to set interest rates as he and his advisors have suggested he might - see what happens to inflation when you do that e.g. Turkiye. If inflation is your concern Biden is the man.

2.4m full time job losses in 12 months is not really a surge. That's over 2m people who are probably unhappy.
