I need to transfer around 1.5 Mio THB from my bank account in Germany to Thailand. It's an inheritance from the late parents of my German wife, who still lives in Germany.

 

As I work and live in Thailand, I have a Thai tax number and pay income tax here. 

 

Now my questions are:

 

- Is there an income tax on this inheritance in Thailand?

 

- Do I have to declare that I have received this money on my Thai bank account, in my next tax statement?

 

- Should I employ a tax advisor next year, to process my tax statement?
