EOD Police Defuse Fighter Jet Bomb Found in Fisherman’s Net

Featured Replies

Local media report

“On July 4, a fisherman in the Bang Phai Canal, Sattahip area made a startling discovery when his net ensnared what appeared to be a bomb from a fighter jet. The fisherman quickly reported the find to local authorities, prompting a swift response from the Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) unit.

The EOD team arrived on the scene and confirmed that the object was indeed a military-grade bomb. They immediately cordoned off the area and evacuated nearby residents to ensure their safety. The police worked to defuse the bomb, successfully neutralising the threat without incident.

Authorities are now investigating how the bomb ended up in the canal and are working with military experts to determine its origin. Local residents have been advised to remain vigilant and report any suspicious objects they encounter.

The incident has caused considerable alarm in the community, but thanks to the prompt action of the EOD team, a potential disaster was averted.”

That is a 25 pound practice bomb. probably a Mk76 or BDU-33. It is just a big chunk of steel.

It does have a smoke cartridge that looks like a shotgun shell that is hazardous.
