Hard to find cavendish bananas (Chang Khlan area)

Featured Replies

The local market and regular fruit stalls only have sugar bananas. Don't know where the other varieties are hiding lately.

Why be looking for the hybridized tasteless plantain banana pretender?

Any variety other than sugar bananas (which I only like roasted)

I find 5 kinds of bananas in 8 minutes in the local market in San Sai.

Recently seen a few verities at kadmai, kadthanin and jedyot at the usual places.  Have noticed some of the prices are ridiculously high lately, as much as ฿120 for a wad of bananas.

Maybe have to move there 🤣

Agree, Cavendish bananas have disappeared from the Chiang Mai area for around the past two months.

They are the only banana I will eat.

Ps. I'm in San Sai, and none in the local markets here.

Seen some at kadthanin in the produce area, the banana lady has some, quite spendy, ฿120 for a wad

Plenty of them in Pattaya markets, price just increased from 35 baht a kilo to 55

If you use your brain it might mean the bananas have been shipped away where they can make more money

Well it tells us that there are those bananas not far away so somebody could get a truck load here overnight.

You want delivery to your bloody front door?
