Labour scrapping the Tory increase in income requirement for Settlement visas

My nephew was unable to bring his Filipina wife to the UK due to this law after becoming unemployed overseas and unable to find a new job abroad.

Be sure Labour’s plan is not to make it easier for Brits to take their spouses back to the UK

In a way, they just did that by stopping a higher income threshold, or how do you see that? Do you see it as finances aren´t an obstacle for many people in the process?
