The basic M.O. of a wannabe tyrant is to harness the anger and frustration of the people, and direct that anger towards specific groups, who they perceive as being responsible for their problems and their issues. This is exactly what Trump does, this is where his level of political mastery comes from, and the reason why he cannot pivot at this point in time is because he doesn't have a plan B. 

 

His only game is one of blame, fostering hatred, name calling, ranting, whining complaining, and attacking, and division. That is what he does and in the process je enables the worst of his followers to express that hatred, division and animosity. 

That's where his power comes from. That is who and what he is.

The news cycle must be really slow for them to be putting drivel like this up.
