With all the new changes, what is the full cost for obtaining a work permit in Thailand? Is it still 8,000 baht?

Please correct me if I'm wrong.

A teacher's WP is only 3,000 Baht. < I know this is 100% correct!

Thank you george and kenkannif. Can anyone recommend a company that can get the work permit for me as I have my letter of a job offer?

Thank you.

My firm can assist. Assuming that you arrive on a non-immigrant visa, with a 90-day entry permit, your initial work permit will only be valid until the end of that 90 day period. So there is more to it than just getting the initial work permit. You will probably want to obtain a long-term entry permit extension, plus a long-term work permit.

Send me a conventional e-mail to which I can reply with attachmemts, and I will send you more info.

Good luck!

Paksport,

At the labour office they can supply you with a list of documents you will have to submit in order to get your work permit, and then you can do it yourself. In case they dont have the list in English and you cannot speak/read Thai, those offering you a job should be able to help out translating. Actually they should arrange the work permit for you, instead of letting you solve this problem.
