Certificate of residence from Changwattana

Featured Replies

Hi

Does anyone have a link to download the form needed for a Certificate of residence?

What docs are Changwattana looking for?  Cost?

Thanks

They at CW require  filled in application for COR,  your last 90 day report, passport, it costs 200 baht, and is posted to you, mine usually take 7 working days to get

Form umber 22             https://bangkok.immigration.go.th/en/downloads_en/

thanks

Correct answers above.

Added note: if obtaining a TDL both car and bike then just tick car.

Transport office will accept the COR and a photo copy for bike licience.

Important to provide most recent TM47 receipt.

Added tip for CW...if your 90 day report window is open you can make an appointment for report and the same desk will process for the report and also COR.

Show both applications to far right que counter

There are no appointments for COR.

Damn!  Phuket IO wants 500!!
And they can give 2 for car and bike license with the same price.
Tried requesting one - 500b
Next week tried both - 500b

Is this such a big deal.

Some immigration offices provide COR free.

Some ie CW charge 200 per certificate.

The most I have read is 800.

Note: for others if COR required for both car and bike just request ONE.

Transport office will accept photocopy.

Yes, I remember getting one for free at Phuket (moto DL)
they demanded 100b and I pointed to a big sign behind me saying "This service is free, don't pay anything" and they said ok.

6months later (car DL) again they asked for 100b and I said there was a sign here remember? (they removed it)  and they said ok.

May 2024 price was 300b
August 2024 price is now 500? why?

DL renewal was only 105+205b. COR costs more than both licenses that's why.

And ED extension is 5000 vs 1900 in other places, so yeah little bit angry with them.

The influx of Russians mostly.  They were at a point for many months where they hit their daily capacity of residence certificates (300) and would turn people away after that.  And that happened every day for many months. I'm not sure if it's still like that but supply & demand.

Is this an option for making an appointment for the "Confirmation of Address @ Changwattana"?

Not to be confused with Resident's certificate for those with PR (permanent residency).

There are two different "certificates"

A Certificate of Residence (COR) is needed for things such as a TDL, open bank account etc.

There is a TM18 form which is used by folk that have Permanent Residency " status.

Thinking the appointment pic you posted is for the latter

Attached thread mentions the two..

As posted earlier in thread, if someone can wait till 90 report window is open the io will process the TM47 photocopy it on the spot and process your COR.....

I tried to get the 'Express' service one time at TRAT immigration Nah they wouldn't have a bar of it, rather annoying really as then a few days later I had to take the ferry from KC back over to Trat at least a 400b cost return.
