A construction worker was found dead with a knife embedded in his right temple at his accommodation in Photharam District, under mysterious circumstances on October 13. Local police are treating the case as an abnormal death and are investigating further.

The discovery was made at approximately 13:00 when Pol. Lt. Paiwan Sripana of Photharam Police Station was informed of the death at a worker’s housing in Soi Fa Subdistrict. Police, along with a medical examiner from Photharam Hospital and rescue teams, rushed to the scene.

The deceased, identified as Mr. Manoon (surname withheld), 39, a native of Ban Rai Subdistrict in Damnoen Saduak, was found lying on his back in a gray t-shirt and jeans, with a kitchen knife lodged in his right temple. Near the body, police discovered a bottle of white liquor and a detergent container. The victim was a construction worker who had been employed at the site for two months.

According to Mr. Winai (surname withheld), 66, the foreman and the first person to discover the body, he had gone to wake the victim around 11:00 after noticing he had not yet risen. Upon entering the accommodation, he found Mr. Manoon lying dead with the knife in his head. The foreman immediately called the police.

Mr. Winai revealed that three days before the incident, Mr. Manoon had expressed suicidal thoughts, even asking to borrow a gun, claiming he was being pursued by someone. The day before his death, Mr. Manoon had also attempted to jump from a bridge, but Mr. Winai had prevented him.

Further investigation by the police revealed no signs of struggle or injuries elsewhere on the body. The kitchen knife, approximately 6 inches in length, appeared to be newly purchased, along with the bottle of liquor.

The police have collected evidence from the scene and taken Mr. Winai and two other witnesses for further questioning at Photharam Police Station. The body has been sent to Ratchaburi Hospital’s forensic centre for an autopsy as the investigation continues.

oh dear Georgealbert,  this is very disturbing news,  he was only 39yrs old.

What drove him to his  desperate demise ... was it financial, was it love, or was he just an all out nutcase.

And what about his family,  they will be devastated by this tragic event,  he was the bread winner,  how can they pay the rent or buy Lao Khao now without Manoon.

Will they be sad,  will they be cursing him,  will they overcome their grief.

RIP site man
