Three Myanmar men, under the influence of alcohol, were involved in an incident where they harassed and attempted to assault a woman in front of Bang Wua Temple Market, Chachoengsao province during the evening of October 13. Two of the men were arrested, while one managed to escape.

Upon their arrest, one of the men pretended to have a seizure and appeared to have problems breathing for nearly an hour. After being taken to the hospital, medical examinations confirmed that he was in normal health, and he was subsequently charged with sexual misconduct.

Police Lieutenant Kraisak Choeichiw from Bang Pakong Police Station, along with his team, responded to a report of harassment at a local market. Police Officer Sakchai Kaewmorakotthip, who was off duty and selling lottery tickets at the market, witnessed the three Myanmar nationals forcibly grabbing a 23-year-old woman, identified only as Ms. A.

Initially believing it to be a domestic dispute, Officer Sakchai intervened, detaining two of the men, 23-year-old Winray and 26-year-old Chaiwanacho, while a third man fled the scene.

Ms. A later recounted that one of the men had inappropriately touched her while she was shopping. She confronted them, but the men tried to flee. She followed them, and two of the men later returned to confront her, attempting to assault her. Fortunately, Officer Sakchai and a concerned local intervened.

Witnesses, including a 43-year-old market vendor, confirmed the sequence of events, stating that the three men appeared drunk and attempted to touch Ms. A before walking away. When Ms. A confronted them, they returned to escalate the situation, but were stopped by bystanders.

After being taken to Bang Pakong Police Station, it was revealed that Winray acted as a translator and was not charged. However, Chaiwanacho, who was facing charges of sexual misconduct, suddenly began convulsing and pretending to not be able to breath, while being held near the detention area.

At first, police and witnesses were concerned, but Winray later confirmed that his friend was faking the symptoms to avoid being detained. Chaiwanacho continued to alternate between normal behavior and pretending to be unconscious for nearly an hour.

Rescue workers who arrived at the scene checked his condition and confirmed that he was in normal health. Chaiwanacho was taken to Bang Pakong Hospital, where further medical examinations reaffirmed that he was in no physical distress. He was eventually returned to the police station to face charges.
