Gallup Poll: American's trust in "trusted" main-stream media falls to 31%

Put your trust in the Weather Channel & the lord according to Warden Samuel Norton. Imop

“The American news landscape is fractured and polarized, with no outlet singularly gaining the public's attention or trust. Party identification, and to some extent age, divide American media consumption. Most adults say that at least half their news consumption is politics-related, and most major news sources are perceived by Americans as either left- or right-leaning”.

“Well, I'm in good company with the 69% who have low-trust in main-stream media which are virtually all owned by corporate interests or individual stakeholders like George Soros”.

I agree with your opinion above on what some would call,The enemy of the people. That billionaire you mentioned, deserves a special shout out,to , his extreme left  organizations that he funds are attempting to buy a couple of hundred local radio stations , in the USA.

This was one of the biggest scandals of 2024 in relation to trusted news, the rapid decline of biden & the cover up.

“Former New York Times editor accuses White House of 'massive cover-up' on Biden's decline

"Shame on the White House press corps for not to have pierced the veil of secrecy surrounding the President," Jill Abramson “.

Here's a sentence that 'splains so much of AN discourse:

Age gaps also made a difference in the ratings, with 74% of Democrats aged 65 and older having a fair or great amount of confidence in the media compared to just 31% of Democrats aged 18 to 29.

Doesn't bode well for the MSM's future, nor for the Dems.

So much for trusting "trusted" news media outlets.  Regardless of what we a told we must believe,

The blatant lies, gaslighting and propaganda of the last few years have really shown them up for what they are...its great news that they are now so mistrusted, well deserved  and not a moment too soon. 👍

Its goes to the negative reporting , censorship and bias towards  proponents of common sense , traditional values . Many on the left can be perceived as

 activist’s pretending to be journalists.

“Indeed, readers may be reluctant to read an article from an outspoken journalist for fear of distortion of facts; the worry is that their taking of sides might compromise the reporting of unvarnished truth. Such a state of affairs is dangerous because it can lead to a less informed populace if consumers distrust the integrity of journalists or the credibility of their publications”.
