How much will baht rise tomorrow?
USD value is determined by a basket of six major currencies which gives us the Dollar Index. Other factors then affect that index and consequently USD value. The following shows the factors that affect USD value: https://www.investopedia.com/articles/forex/09/factors-drive-american-dollar.asp#:~:text=Like any other fiat currency,value on the global market. THB on the other hand is only very small and its value is determined largely by the current account balance. Supply and demand isn't a significant factor because THB is not freely convertible. Selling USD (as in export trade bills) against THB does increase its value and selling THB against USD (imports) weakens it. So capital inflows will sell foreign currency against THB and potentially increase THB value. It's a lot lot easier to move THB value a long way using very little than it is to move the value of USD. -

Lost control over my computer.
Thanks. I use windows 11. I am a user. I always thought that the only "administrators" sit in Silicone Valley or Coppertino. Honestly, to high for me. Scary, what one must do to re-establish control over ones computer. Appearantly, no big deal for Internet users. No outrage! "Eat what Bill Gates serves you for dinner" and be happy that Bill allowes you to be part of his universe. -

Positive stroke for moving to Chiang Mai
Thailand makes people, like me, forget what is "normal and safe". I was monitoring pollution number in Bangkok and they were high. Now I'm near On Nut BTS - one of the busiest and polluted spot in Bangkok - and I like it! I guess I checked my brain at the door... I am alive! I love the action, smells (food), energy of young AND old people on the streets and so on. Only 1% speaks English! Now I'm in Thailand. I hear Chiang Mai is even more polluted yet very popular. I may go to see it too. My regular place, Jomtien, was/is cemetery quiet compared to this hell hole 😉 Only ONE motobike revving at night, as reported here, 1 000 000+ in Bangkok. It's a win-win to me. Got to see REAL Bangkok and when tired of this I appreciate Jomtien more. When is that? I donno, just paid 7 more days... -

Advise needed regarding 12 month bank statement - 2nd Extension of stay.
Think you're missing the point. The OP used an agent. Agents can "package" the non O + 12 month extension. That in almost all cases would be agent covers the financials. Also use agent for next extension. I asked the OP to post stamps. Rejected twice. IMO he needs to obtain bank statements back to may 31/2024 Approx 14 months. -

Thai gov. to tax (remitted) income from abroad for tax residents starting 2024 - Part II
Accounting method can only be FIFO OR average cost, so apparently both are acceptable and one can chose. This was also mentionend in a doc from TRD that Chiang Mai kindly provided.- 1
