Completely covering house with PU Foam Metal Sheets?

Completely covering a brick built house with PU Foam bonded metal sheets. The ceilings and roof are already insulated. 

 

It would make it cooler?

 

Aircons would work much less?

 

Reasons not to?

Do they sell PU Foam bonded metal sheets that look like bricks in Thailand?

I guess you must be careful that there is some air circulation because of the moisture.

Make your own, batten the wall foil and insulation then clad...

there will be only a very smal difference/improvement! but it also depends on factors such as walls directly exposed to the sun, overhangs, building orientation, etc. the windows, which transfer heat indoors, will remain a weak point ... financially, the effort to improve insulation with pu panels is hardly worthwhile, except for aesthetic enhancement (e.g., cracks in the exterior walls etc).

it might, it depends on how much heat is being transmitted by the walls. If they get direct sun, the yes’s it will. Our house  walls never get hot as we have double cavity AAC block walls, our windows let in most of the  heat but use low-e double glazing and they mostly don’t get direct sun after 9:30.

 

The house, without using AC is usually 10C lower that the daytime high
