What does it mean to you?

In different countries it means different things of course.

What is good and what is bad about it?

I think sometimes it goes too far,spouting lies is also free speech?

Thailand has limited free speech and we all accept it here,somethings you can not say and we don't.

At least not in public or on the internet.

In America it means free speech is only allowed for the progressive leftist.

 

All others are classified as hate speech .

I have mixed feelings about this.

In a way, I don't want that total bs is propagated.

But then, who decides what is the truth? Let's look at the past and Nicolaus Copernicus, Galileo Galilei, Charles Darwin and many others. What does/would happen now to people who discover things and nobody believes them?

 

For particular groups like i.e. politicians, I would love to see fines for deliberate lies. 

Controlling this and enforcing this, and without bias, is obviously the big issue.
