Google, which of course own YouTube, has a similar "profanity filter"  Anyone who wishes to advertise or have Google adverts run on their website must conform or they choke the cash !

Platforms like this, if you wish to appear in search engines, same thing, so it's not always the site, it's the rules they have to conform to. A "don't shoot the messenger" scenario.

There is no such thing as 'freedom of speech' in a privately run site , which youtube is,

They decide what is acceptable, you should read their 'terms and conditions'.

If you find those terms unacceptable then suggest you set up a rival service 'DaleyTube and post there.

I am sure there will be one poster on DaleyTube, though I doubt that YouTube or the world will notice or care or even miss him anyway.

I am sick and tired of the damn algorithms on YouTube banning me all the time for so-called HATE SPEECH!! There is no logic or intelligence behind it at all! I do not spread hate! I might have called Putin and idiot! I really HATE the people behind this nonsense.😫

YouTube and any provider can ban whatever it likes. This falacy of freedom of speech or freedom of expression on a private site is just that, a falacy. Read the 1st Amendment, or the Bill of Rights, or whatever. It applies to government, not to me. In my house, I can ban you from doing or saying anything.

These 2992 words that apparently are banned by Youtube, what are they? Are they all English words, words from varying languages, are they written, spoken, sung? Where's the evidence supporting this assertion of such a specific number of words?
