Prince Andrew’s Financial Independence: King Charles Cuts Royal Support

The Republican movement is driven in large part by Scottish and Irish nationalists, and leftist militants. I am not discounting or dismissing Republican sentiment because of that, but it is a vital characteristic that cannot be ignored. It is a core group, neither growing nor shrinking in proportion to the UK population.

The public as a whole does not like change. Despite all the marketing buzzwords and use of terms such as "market disruption" or "agents of change", people resist change until there is a crisis point. The most recent crisis point was the final period of the  Tory administration. It induced a shift in public sentiment and an embrace of anyone other than the Conservatives. The change King Charles is effecting now is intended to prevent a crisis of confidence in the institution. He has maintained a slow and steady course to progress. Andrew's refusal to co-operate and his attitude is one of selfishness and perhaps to a certain extent, resentment of Charles and of William. IMO, he sees himself as smarter than his siblings and has a delusion of self importance. Andrew fought to keep the titles for his useless daughters, in stark contrast  to Anne didn't want her children to have titles. Harry shows a similar delusion of importance.  Andrew is a magnet for Republican sentiments, and when you look at him and his history, it is not difficult to appreciate the Republican sentiments. This is why Andrew had to be better managed.

Republicans should learn from the recent migration to Farage that there is a large segment of the UK population who will cling to old familiar traditions, like the monarchy. It isn't a question of costs or in keeping up with the times, but one of traditions, perceived old values etc.  Support for the Monarchy may be tepid, but supporters present as a diverse demographic; It is a potent mix of young and old, of John Bull and immigrant, of social progressive and of old guard conservative . Push them too hard, and they will fight back. People don't like being lectured and told what to do, which is what the Republican movement often does.

That in-bred Royal family should be sent packing...all of them, including the bull dog camila.

You mean that dog?

Not supporting your brother while having infinite money yourself seems a bit mean to me.

If I were Andy, I'd be writing a reveal all book on the royal family and dishing the dirt.

This story is just a diversion to try and make him popular with the public - who by and large think he's a greedy little <deleted> - esp as he's just been caught out scamming Joe Public again:

"King Charles and Prince William have been accused of "corruption" and "hypocrisy" by campaigners following reports that they profited to the tune of millions from schools, hospitals, other public services and charities.

As monarch, Charles last year drew a private income of £27.4 million (around $35 million) from his Duchy of Lancaster property portfolio while William's Duchy of Cornwall brought in £23.6 million (around $30 million).

An investigation for Channel 4's flagship current affairs show Dispatches and The Sunday Times has uncovered thousands of documents showing for the first time how the duchies make their money.

Journalists found they have been charging rent to schools, hospitals, the army, the navy and some charities alongside other tenants.

This has led to allegations Charles and William were secretly profiting from the state and were free to spend the money not only on the official functions of the monarchy but also their lifestyles."

1 day ago ... King Charles ... accused of being a rogue landlord who leaves private ...

The monarchy system is better than the presidential system imho - UNLESS it's the US system where their power is balanced by congress and the wotsit.

However, every now and again you get a retarded scumbag so here we are.

FWIW I believe they'll be done away with soon as the (private) Central Bankers (the real powers that be) want to do away with nationalism and move to a one world system.  Old Charlie will no doubt make it easy for them through his and his fam's degeneracy.

He knows his place in the pecking order:

This is about all I could find about tourists from offshore.

https://www.statista.com/statistics/373081/uk-royal-tourism-admission-numbers-by-establishment/

Number of admissions to the Royal Estate in the United Kingdom from 2019/20 to 2023/24, by establishment, (in 1,000s).

Characteristic                                         2019/20    2020/21    2021/22    2022/23    2023/24

Showing entries 1 to 6 (6 entries in total)

1.   2020 to 2022 were the covid years and some places may have been shut down.

2.   I have no idea of the breakdown between the number of offshore and domestic tourists.

3.   Each of the numbers must be multiplied by 1,000 according to the link.

4.   I have no idea of the admission charges and would have no idea of the revenue generated, nor where the revenue actually goes to.

There is more information in the link and further breakdown of costs if you want to dig further, but at this time of night, my brain cells are giving up and my aged body is telling me that enough is enough for today.

Thank you for making me do some research.

You're welcome😉

If the monarchy were to be abolished, I don't see why those figures should be affected greatly. Millions visit Versailles and the other former Royal Palaces in France annually, even though there is no longer a monarchy there.
