"Someday, a Trump will come and wash all the scum off the streets." (Travis Bickle)

Featured Replies

Dear Folks,

Do you believe that Trump is the answer to Travis' prayer, in the first half of the movie?

And, do you believe that Trump will GO TO TOWN on the lowlifes, just as did Bickle, in the film, "Taxi Driver"?

Personally, I hope he does.

Because, Kensington Avenue, in Philly, is far worse than anything Bickle ever saw in his cab.

What do you think?

Will Trump GO TO TOWN?

Best regards,

Gamma

Note:  Here's what I'm talk'n' 'bout....

Someday, a BIG Rain will come....

No, although like Travis Bickle, I think he's mentally disturbed and should have been locked up.

"As democracy is perfected, the office of the president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. We move toward a lofty ideal. On some great and glorious day, the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last, and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron"

Are you saying that Bickle is a moron?

Or, is Bickle the hero of the film?

(or antihero...or whatever....)

I am confident your imagination will enable you to read into my comment whatever takes your fancy.

Speaking of mental disturbances:

Then, you would hesitate to say that Kensington Ave, Philly, is a metaphor for the present state of America?

Someday....a HARD RAIN is gonna fall......(just to paraphrase the Nobel Laureate, Bob....)
