Here is a hint...do not get drunk and argue with Thai men....they do not Eff around in this country.  They do not respect us.  Remember that!

Why do they need to respect a drunken fool, acting like a idiot, he was disrespecting all those around him.

These stupid foreigners have never grown up, they aren't accountable, Pattaya is a magnet for these gooses.

Was he ??? how  ???     He was drunk, it has not been reported that he was behaving poorly, agressively or disrespectfully etc ???

And you are right, they didnt need to 'respect him'... but neither did they need to beat him up...

I tend to agree - but that still does not justify a beating - the two Thai guys were not defending themselves - this seems like an attack.

Oh, thanks for highlighting.

I forgot to add that I heard this on today's radio news report.

Around 3 minutes into the video.

I'll send the link

Cheers - If he was behaving like a complete pest then thats good information.

BUT - as it stands, we only have the word of the two guys who broke his noses - I'm highly doubt the veracity of their their account...

Its also highly strange that two That guys in an area such as Pattaya will become 'good samaritans' and help an overtly dunken fool - its is that aspect which raises my eyebrows...

No proof of course, but as others have mentioned - there seems a lot more to this story than meets the eye.

I don't think being drunk, even sh*t-faced, is enough in and of itself to get you in trouble in Pattaya.  A drunk tourist or expat, whatever his nationality, will have to pick a fight with someone for things to turn violent.

Agreed. Pattaya people are used to seeing people drunk off their ***. That in itself would not provoke a beating. You'd have to be drunk and aggressive and annoying enough for them to snap.

One theory could be that, given his drunken state, they saw an opportunity to either rob or bum him. He fought back.

I see that (robbery) and the IP in a drunken state reacting as a viable explanation, at least as viable as the 'two good Samaritans' story....

Cognitive dissonance or hypocrisy?

Just someone reading aloud what he read elsewhere. Likely knows much the same as you do.

True - but it offers more feasibility as to what the foreigner was doing in the truck in the first place.

If true, its seems he was drinking / drunk at the bar the Thai guys were working at and they offered him a lift home - this seems completely feasible to me.

He then got agitated and started a fight, this is also perfectly feasible to me.

Like many on here! Why did he provoke a beat down? Maybe because he is a Brit, or a tourist? In my youth I had many, many fights and those injuries are over the top for a cheeky slap. That's a disgusting attack on someone who was most likely unable to defend himself. I will pray that you’re in a similar situation soon.

You seem to be a rather unsavory character yourself having enjoyed so many many scraps in your youth. Nothing here for you to be proud of. And praying that somebody finds himself in the same position is worthy of you being censored by the moderators.

Noting good EVER comes from excessive drinking. I wonder if some of the people who get drunk and behave badly in Thailand do the same in their own country?

Almost certainly.....only difference is they are prepared to close down service back there.. here they will keep serving as long as you keep buying.
