Echoing Hillary Clinton’s post-2016 memoir *What Happened*, Harris may choose to write or speak publicly about her experiences and perspectives. “I think that will absolutely be part of the next eight to 12 months, to decompress what happened,” Amara predicted. “I expect her, whether it be through speeches or writing a book, to really lay out her understanding of what happened. Because Democrats are going to squabble back and forth with different theories … but I think it would be important to hear directly from her.”

She was the only choice given for Democrats. As VP she has no accomplishments. As a contender to run for the Prez she failed miserably, so much that even a convicted sex criminal (as the Dems call it) won the majority of votes. She will never win a primary if there is someone else vying for the same that speaks better and knows even a little about politics and has shown they can stand by certain policies they believe in. 

She needs to go back to being a lawyer where she can follow rules and laws and make plea agreements to ensure victories in the courtroom. She needs to get out of politics. 

Maybe mayor of San Francisco. She already knows the ins and outs and ins and outs of that job by Willie.

Hopefully she will disappear into irrelevance. She was an awful candidate. Choosing her for 2028 would be another disaster and she does not have the acumen to be governor of California, a state in dramatic decline.

I certainly hope you are right but I think you may be just a little bit too naive. While i personally think Trump is an idiot, I have to salute him for his manipulative skills. Just look at how much he's gotten away with to date. I don't put anything beyond his capabilities. The "people" will be put to the test over the next 4 years.

The VP will do what other former VPs do; Go and sit on the boards of companies, and give speeches.  She will be paid millions of dollars.

100% of the republican voters support this idea. Additionally she could run again in 32 , 36 and 40. That would make her the longest runing candidate. A great achievement.

Going to be tricky for her once America course corrects on DEI hiring I think as I don't think she will really want to be competing for positions on merit alone.   She might have to lower her expectations in line with her abilities.

I suspect that there will be an election (of sorts) in 2028. I also suspect that it will not be recognisable, certainly conducted very differently.

 

I am also curious as to how the "discussions and ideas" on a "third term" pan out.

 

I would not be surprised if the term limits question is decided in Trumps favour, albeit not using the conventional constitutional formula, that establishing a precedent which will allow the Presidency to be decided by Congress, probably by a simple majority vote in the Senate - so much easier to "manage"!
