Sky News host Erin Molan delivered a scathing critique of UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese following remarks made during an interview on *Piers Morgan Uncensored*. The heated discussion revolved around Albanese’s hesitation to explicitly acknowledge reports of rape that occurred during the October 7 attacks in Israel and its periphery.

When questioned by Piers Morgan about whether she accepts that rape occurred across multiple locations during the attacks, Albanese responded cautiously, stating that she prefers to "rely on the two reports issued this year by the Commission on Inquiry."

Molan expressed outrage at Albanese's response, calling her refusal to directly address the allegations "insane." “They admitted it themselves,” Molan asserted, referencing claims made by perpetrators, as well as what she described as “hordes of irrefutable evidence.”

The topic, fraught with distressing details, has sparked widespread controversy and intense emotions as ongoing investigations seek to verify reports of sexual violence amid the broader conflict. Albanese’s reluctance to confirm the allegations during the interview has drawn criticism from commentators who argue that such a position undermines the gravity of the claims.

As the situation continues to unfold, debates persist over the role of international officials and their responsibility in addressing allegations of atrocities with clarity and sensitivity. Molan’s reaction underscores the frustration felt by many who believe that the acknowledgment of such crimes should be unequivocal in the face of compelling evidence.

Sooooo, some talking head on a tv show knows more about it than someone that is intimately involved in the Gaza conflict.

Yawn.

Crikey, you are missing the point completely.

Here's one UN official who has no doubts about rapes and sexual violence by Hamas on Oct. 7 and after:

"Following a 17-day visit to Israel, the UN Special Representative on Sexual Violence in Conflict reported on Monday that she and a team of experts had found “clear and convincing information” of rape and sexualized torture being committed against hostages seized during the 7 October terror attacks.

"Pramila Patten added in a press release issued along with the report that there are also reasonable grounds to believe that such violence, which includes other “cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment”, may be continuing against those still being held by Hamas and other extremists in the Gaza Strip."
