Police are searching for the driver of a black caar involved in a hit and run cash that claimed the life of a 68 year old contractor. The collision, which occurred on the Muang Thong Thani flyover, was captured on another car’s dashcam, providing critical evidence for the investigation.

At 06:00 on November 29, officers from the Pak Kret Police Station and rescue personnel from the Ruamkatanyu Foundation responded to reports of a fatal collision on the Muang Thong Thani flyover in Khlong Kluea Subdistrict, Pak Kret District, Nonthaburi.

At the scene, authorities found the body of Mr. Samran, a 68 year old construction contractor, lying lifeless on the road. Nearby was his severely damaged orange and black Honda Wave motorcycle, registered in Bangkok.

Footage from local Pak Kret CCTV cameras revealed that Mr. Samran was riding in the left lane when the black car rear-ended his motorcycle. The impact caused Mr. Samran and his vehicle to skid across the road. The driver of the car sped away without stopping to provide assistance. Dashcam footage from a witness’s vehicle recorded the moment of impact, showing the car fleeing the scene after hitting the motorcycle.

Investigators learned that Mr. Samran had been returning home from a friend’s house when the collision occurred. Tragically, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Police are reviewing CCTV footage and the dashcam recording to identify the suspect’s vehicle and apprehend the driver. They intend to question the individual responsible and press charges.

The victim’s body has been sent to the Institute of Forensic Medicine for a detailed autopsy. Investigations are ongoing as authorities work to bring the perpetrator to justice.
